Phil Boutelje (1895-1979) was pianist, composer, songwriter, radio and television scriptwriter, musical composer, arranger, and director of music. He was born in Philadelphia and attended the Philadelphia Music Academy. He was a military bandmaster during World War I, a pianist and music arranger for Paul Whiteman's Orchestra, and a composer and lyricist of popular songs.
